Traditional role playing game dice are universally recognized by even non-gamers. These unique dice, sometimes known as rpg or D&D dice, usually consist of seven polyhedral shaped dice to a set including the d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d percentile. One of the first things that a role playing gamer comes to a familiarity with are the dice, for it’s the dice that determine the success or failure of a player character’s actions during the course of a game – everything from the initial creation of a character, to saving throws, to combat, and everything in between. It’s safe to say that without the dice, there could be no game, and players everywhere have come to cherish their dice.
Throughout the years, dice manufacturers have attempted to shake things up (pun intended) with variations of traditional polyhedral game dice. The best example of this is the Crystal Caste company in Tucson, Arizona. Crystal Caste is a truly innovative manufacturer that invented unique crystal shaped dice that aren’t as universally recognizable, but have nevertheless proven very popular with gamers. Combining the new with the old, Crystal Caste has recently released special sets of “hybrid dice” that contain crystal dice as well as some of the traditional dice that gamers have known for years. The hybrid dice sets include a total of ten dice to a set, with perhaps the most unusual die being a three-sided crystal die unavailable anywhere else.
There are currently three different styles of hybrid dice being commercially produced, including Translucent dice, Oblivion dice, and Toxic dice. Each set includes a d3, d4, three d6, d8, d10, d%, d12, and d20 (the d8, d12, and d20 are traditional, polyhedral shaped — all the rest are crystal shaped).
Hybrid Dice, Translucent — available in red, purple, orange, blue, teal, and clear.

Hybrid Dice, Oblivion — available in purple, red, blue, green, yellow, and orange.

Hybrid Dice, Toxic — available in yellow, green, black, and blue.
